Spaghetti Bolognese

Last night was the first night home with nothing to do in a while so it was a perfect time to attempt writing. I wrote 300 words toward a flash fiction piece for a challenge in the horror forum of Absolute Write. The idea was good but I stopped after deciding the writing was really bad but I didn’t know why.

But just before I went to bed, it came to me that it was all too passive and my character wasn’t doing anything. It was just the character’s recount of something happening to him.

I resolved to do something about it because today I also had a day of sweet nothing. But I’ve managed to waste most of the day procrastinating on Facebook and not writing much except a lesson plan for a socialist theatre group I’m involved in.

I did cook however, Spaghetti Bolognese, which isn’t that special but it turned out pretty good. I added bacon bits for something different and here are the results. Promise I won’t get Swine Flu ;)
